OUR history
The company Bixton Distributors (Pvt) Ltd was incorporated exclusively for the purpose of engaging in the retail business in Sri Lanka.
Being a subsidiary of Bixton Lighting (Pvt) Ltd which was incorporated in 1978 in Sri Lanka with affiliates in the Middle East and Africa engaged in the Electrical and Lighting business.
Bixton became an international company headquartered in the United Kingdom then in Dubai as Omar Farook General Trading Dubai.
The other associate companies of the group includes DIY Holdings (Pvt) Ltd – engaged in the marketing of Power Tools and Electrical products with showrooms in Colombo and suburbs and LED World (Pvt) Ltd., solely retailing LED products in the country.
Our Team
We are a young company powered by a team of experienced of professionals who have a collective experience of over 200 years in the field of lighting. Our dedicated team of professionals have been exposed to several international markets and have been employed with other organisations who have marketed international lighting brands in Sri Lanka.
The team of professionals in the lighting industry with exposure to projects and retail who have excelled in the industry marketing several international brands. Our retail team is headed by a set of young and enthusiastic sales people who will strive to satisfy the customer’s lighting needs effectively.
Currently we operate internationally across Europe, Africa and Middle east with offices in UK, Uganda, Georgia, Dubai and Pakistan as local agents for international brands including FSL and our own brand Bixton.
